We\'ve taken the good Master Chief into the heart of the ark, killed hundreds of thousands of Covenant, and rescued Cortana from the clutches of the Gravemind. Now here\'s our review of the most anticipated videogame of 2007. Is Halo 3 still the reason to own an Xbox 360?

I intentionally avoided, up until now, posting news about Halo 3 - pics notwithstanding - because, frankly, I don\'t care to learn about the levels or the neat gizmos the good Master Chief will be using this time around, ahead of time. They, to me, are spoilers. I am at the point where I just want to play the game for myself and be surprised. I am breaking my rule now because the latest news about Halo 3 steps beyond that broad line of \"developer hype.\" Today Bungie officially confirmed that Halo 3 will feature 4 player Co-op play over Xbox Live and System Link. It\'s that kind of important news that just needs to be boldface.

With its anime influenced style, guns-blazing action, and destroy anything physics, what could go wrong? Bullet Witch is an example of a game that could have benefitted from a few more months in development. Though not without its surprises, Bullet Witch concedes to the same gameplay mechanics we\'ve been comfortable with for years. While it doesn\'t do anything really new with gameplay, it might be worth the rental if you\'re bored with everything else.

The PS3 has not had an easy launch. While the mainstream media has been treating the system very MTV-like (with unquestioning adoration), Sony\'s street credit amongst the hardcore has been taking almost daily blows. From problems with HDTV support to shortages at launch, Sony just hasn\'t been getting the positive consumer response they probably wanted. Now, Joystiq.com is reporting on a YouTube video that highlights just how bad PS2 games look when run on the PS3\'s backwards compatibility. The side-by-side comparison video between a PS2 game running on the PS3 vs. an actual PS2 is really fairly stunning. The PS2 beats the PS3 hands down, and does so clearly enough that you don\'t have to be picky to notice the difference. Check out the article for more information.

Konami\'s latest retro anthology, Gradius Collection, brings a long legacy of side-scrolling shooter mayhem to the PSP. For fans of the classic space-cave action Gradius made popular, this is a must-have collection. Sporting some welcome enhancements, including a quick-save feature that helps players reach previously unattainable levels and makes the games more portable-friendly, Gradius Collection is worth checking out to spice up that summertime commute. Though the N-Gage hardware might be gone, the N-Gage spirit apparently won\'t die. Nokia has changed the N-Gage from a portable gaming device into a portable gaming network available exclusively to Nokia customers. The network will provide downloadable games to many different types of cell phones, not just a specific one pushed as a gaming device. Set to launch in 2007, the service will offer both first and third party titles. If you\'re interested in Nokia\'s push to return to the world of gaming, read about the rebirth of the N-Gage.

Ys: Ark of Napishtim is the latest iteration of Konami\'s anime-RPG franchise. This time Ys makes its debut on the PSP, bringing a PS2-style traditional RPG experience to the best little PS2 emulator out there. The game makes the transition from home console to portable title fairly well, except for the PSP\'s monstrous load times and a complete lack of any portable-friendly game pacing.
